Hampus supports the vision and direction of NDSS, while leading the research, health, education, employment and community engagement initiatives of the organization to better serve the Down syndrome community. With an extensive background within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, Hampus’ knowledge base and expertise will help lead the way to continue tackling unmet medical challenges currently facing our community. He has served in various leadership roles including co-founding Proclara Biosciences, a biotech company that focused on developing novel treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s. Having had an arm prothesis since birth, Hampus is well acquainted with the disability community. Hampus, his wife Lianor, and their two sons Oskar and Sebastian, live in Massachusetts. Oskar, who has Down syndrome, motivates Hampus to achieve NDSS’ mission every day.
