Margaret Pulsifer, Ph.D. is a neuropsychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Director of the MGH Lifespan Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship. She has extensive clinical and research experience in the evaluation of individuals with Down syndrome, and has been affiliated with the MGH Down Syndrome Program since its inception. Her research activities include participation in a multi-site study relating biomarkers to cognitive functioning and identifying risk factors for early onset dementia or Alzheimer’s disease in adults with Down syndrome. She is also the lead neuropsychologist in a multi-site study of cognitive functioning and behavior in children and young adults with Down syndrome and severe obstructive sleep apnea that is treated by placement of a hypoglossal nerve stimulator. She served as a Board Member of the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC) for 12 years and is currently a member of the MDSC Medical and Scientific Advisory Council.
